Took about 2.5 hours. 15min spent looking for my wheel lock. 20 min taking the truck liner out (not needed to do)
Ok for those of you wanting to lower a 2001 Elantra:
1: the apex front springs were a direct fit. 2: the apex rear springs were slightly smaller in diameter. (1/2") but they fit fine.
3: the strut tops are actually located inside the car just behind the back seat. all that is needed to reach them is poping out the two sides closest the doors.
note: this is why there is no upper strut bar for the 2001 elantra yet.
overall drop is supposed top be 40mm. aprox how many inches I am not sure but here are the current numbers after about 40 min of driving
all measurements were taken from the ground to the highest part of the fenderwells
front: stock 26" dropped 24 1/4"
rear: stock 25 1/2" dropped 23"
the springs should settle a little more. I am expecting about another 1/2"-3/4"
I will have pics posted sometime tommorow i think.
The springs I am reffering to are for the 98 and up elantra. They wee not ment for the 2001 elantra.
