Default Re: FGR question

I stayed late at work last night on a mission to get my strubar to fit with my new AirRam intake and here are the results.....

This is the stock bracket next to the new offset one I made:

And heres a few more pics of how it fit:

I was a pain in the a$$ to do but it worked, and I wasn't about to wait around for someone to make one that fits.

hey hey... thats the same strut bar i have for my car... (procarparts.com right) its a pretty good bar..... quite cheap also... im sure if you could make a few more brackets and have the people order that bar.... you could be in some business.

very pretty... this is the way modding a car should be.. blood, sweat, tears, and a LOT of inginuity... anybody can lay down the plastic.. but how many can lay down a piece of steel, carbon fibre, or even fabric and make what they need?

The hood closes just fine, for some reason the pics make it look like the bar is higher than the intake when it's actually lower. I made alot of differant things for my car that you can't get anywhere, if you look at the heatsheild on the Alpine turbo exhaust manifold, you'll see I made a new one out of 304 polished stanless. If anyone ever needs anything cutom made out of metal I could do it for cheap, I'm a class A sheet metal mechanic and I have full access to laser's, welders and anything you could think of.

Great job dude. Did you see the short shifter I made?
It's always very satisfying to be able to say I made that laugh.gif
