for those who have low profile tires: 205/40/16, 205/40/17, 215/35/18, etc...(or pretty much any tire in general)... do NOT use Fix-a-Flat if you have a flat tire. at work today i got stuck tryin to find a leak on someones Celica w/ 215/35/18's. with fix a flat in it, you can't find a leak because, well, fix a flat makes it NOT leak. so i had to demount it (which is a PITA at that size), clean out the crap, remount it (which, again, is a PITA) and then look for the leak.....

and in the end, there wasn't even a leak. the kids mom thought the tire was flat. stupid woman doesn't realize that a 215/35 has no sidewall and you can't really tell if it's flat by lookin at it

GRRR. Fix a Flat isn't even good for a tire, and i think that it should be BANNED

(maybe this deserves to be in Gripes? i dunno. it's goin under tires for now)

This guy I met at a tire repair shop in Phoenix told me, if you have a steel rim and use that, it will rust from the inside. I'm not sure about aluminum wheels, but I think it would have some corrosion as well.

aluminum is much more resistant to corrosion than mild steel, but w/ the right chemicals..............

it just makes it for a hard time for the person repairing the tire (Such is the case with me). it's a mess, the fumes are horrible, and it's just a pain in the ass. grrr
