98 Front Calipers Will Fit 99 Non-captive Setup?
#1
i just wanted to make sure if the front calipers froma 98 CAPTIVE setup will fit onto 99 tib NON Captive hub, spindle and rotors...
i'm reading people say you need the calipers too for the swap cause they arent the same.. but at the same time people are saying you don't need to change the calipers you only need to change hub, spindle and rotors..
please clearify!
thanks!!

I will say this, they have different part numbers for the capative and non-capative units. When I swapped mine out, I found it easiest to undo the brake line and sway bar end links, then pop the ball joints and remove it as a unit. Took about two hours total and that was uninstalling and reinstalling on both cars.

i was told that they are the same which is why i havent pulled calipers for the noncaptive swap
i guess its kinda like how the axles are different part numbers but yet you can still use the auto axles for the manual swap

well as long as it would fit then its cool cause i'm ordering rotors and pads and i'm ordering the pads for a 98 Tib.. i don't want to go install the caliper and pads and have it not fit with the non captive setup i'm installing...
