A friend of mine has a set of rims off his sunfire he crashed there focal 17' black with chrome lip the tires are 225/45/17

The problem is i tried to bolt them up and ofcourse there multi bolt and have a 4 bolt pattern but it's 4x100 (i think) i tried to bolt one on and didn't match up, I think theres only two four bolt patterns 4x100 and 4x114? correct me if im wrong please!

First question before i even start, will the rims/tires fit? or will they be to big

My second question is, is it possible to change the bolt pattern from 4x114 - 4x100 the reason i want to spend a bit of money on this is because the rims/tires are in amazing shape and price is dirt cheap (were really good friends)

I remember when i was looking up wheel spacers on ebay i seen these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WHEEL-ADAPT...sQ5fAccessories

do these actually work? and are they reliable im a little nervouse about messing with my wheel studs.

Im not so sure if I would trust them spacers. Ive seen one break on my friends CRX and that ended up maken him wreck. The safest route to go would to buy rims that are the 4x114. Im sure you can find a ton of dank rims for your tib.

If I remember right you can use Accent hubs and get 4x100. But think about if its worth it. It is a little easier to find 4x100s if there is only one bolt pattern though also.

Umm someone correct me if I'm wrong. But I think all cavaliers and sunfires were 5-lug meaning you would have to do a 5x100 hub swap. At least thats the case with all 1995 and up sunfires and cavs, I've owned two. Im not 100% sure about the older models. If the wheels are multi bolt for a 4-lug they would fit. Both sets of my 17" wheels are drilled for 4x100 and 4x114.

they are off a 5 bolt the sunfire is 5x114.3 but there is like 12 diffrent holes in the rim im pretty sure one set of holes is a 4 bolt but im gonna throw them on my buddys civic see if they fit (i think civic is 4x100) but i was going to get at least 1 inch on those conversion piece so i would think it would be thick/strong enough plus it will give me a wider look which i want lol,

I don't think I have ever seen wheels fit both 4 and 5 lug. They are probably 5x100 and 5x114 drilled.

^^ I second that. I also haven't seen a "universal" fit more than 1 bolt pattern. It just looks like it because you see so many holes drilled on the rim and looks like it will match your pattern, but it's just an illusion.

Staying on topic.... our hubs can be drilled out to 4x100 fing02.gif
The machined/chrome lip is overrated IMO...
