aiight... i got a set of alessio MITO's on my rd2 TIburon... at a size of 17x7.5 (offset 40mm) with 205/40/17 ventus tires on em.... i know the 205 is too small for the width of my wheels but that's wut came in the package deal.... NOW i'm getting a refund check for my taxes.... i wanna know if i can fit a set of 18x7.5 with 225/35/18 tires. My tib is dropped 1.7 inches all the way around with intrax springs.... i get NO tire rub wutsoever because my wheels tuck in nicely,.... now should i keep the 40 mm offset with a 18x7.5 inch wheel or should i change that? I believe i have enogh room to fit the 18's because as it is with the 17's i think i got enough... might have to roll the fenders a lil but that's no problem for me to do. I wanna know if any one with 18's can give me a couple pointers... thanx... if i can't fit the 18's well i'm in the market for some new 17's....

i'm pretty sure w/ a stock set up, you can put 215/35X18's on there. since you've put suspension mods in there, i wouldn't be able to figure out if that would work. those extra 10 mm's (225) could mean a lot. (tires/wheels are my line of work). But, to tell you the truth, i don't think u'll have any problem. i plan on spending my refund on the same thing as you, here are the pics of the rims i'm gettin

Jamie. Most of us on this site have tibs older than 2001, which means they are an "RD" tib. But thanks for letting us know about your set up on your "GK" tib. smile.gif

here are a couple of links to help you out with tire size,
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
and
http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html

then you must take in to account how much room you have in the wheel well.
hope these links help
