My tib came with 14s.. I moved up to a 16x7 with 205/45/16s. While the ride was a little more harsh than stock (14s have a 60 profile.. much more supple.. but I can remember when those were considered Low profile and exotic.. gods I feel old).

Personally. I feel that 16s are the best all around compromise. They are still a comfortible size to drive on everyday, but they can hold their own in the performance too.

With a 16 you can easily find light rims still, but performance tyes in this size are getting harder to find as more and more people start putting rubber band sized tyres on their cars in 18+ inch diameters.. 16 is the forgotten size for some reason.

BTW... going too low a profile will hurt your performance as well. Super lower profile tyres have very stiff sidewalls that do not give much. This transmits most of the road imperfections to the suspension and can lead to wheel hop on acceleration and on a bumpy road. A tire that is not touching the road is not a performance tire.

Ok my one of my biggest concerns is ride quality. I feel my car is to bumpy as it is now. So if I get some lightweight 15's will I see a noticeable difference in performance seeing that there is less rotational mass? That would be my main reason for switching not better cornering and such. My car corners very good now after I bought my Yokohomas.

You might even get a better ride.. lighterweight wheels are easier for the suspension to control.

with bigger outer diameter of the wheel ride quolity will be improved.

Thats good the roads around here are not kept up well. Sucks even more because I am a delivery boy. I have to ride over the same bumpy pothole infeasted roads over and over again. Will I notice a diffrence in the power from lighter rims?

probably not, but you might see it in times if you go to the track a lot.

i had 17's sad.gif but my mom fixed that one for me. i liked the looks but i hated the weight. seemed like the car was really tryin when i would go up hills and etc. if i were to buy another set of rims i would most likely go with some 16's
