Well, I just got back from a very 'fun' trip to Wendy's. I'm driving along, coming up to a turn, and there's this old bastard in front of me. We're both in the right lane, making a left turn. Well, this old ****** is turning so slowly I can barely tell that he is moving. So, I get over into the left lane and turn, that way I'll get to Wendy's before I die of old age.

Well, halfway into the turn I hit some invisible pothole, and the rear driver side wheel takes the majority of the impact. I pull into Wendy's, and I start hearing a sort of dragging noise. I get my food, start to pull out, and the noise returns, but is even louder now. As I start driving, it's still pretty loud, and I start to hear a dull roar coming from the rear driverside wheel. I pull onto the interstate, pick up speed, and roaring sound is LOUD now. So, I've got a lovely dragging sound (I checked, nothing is actually dragging) coming from the middle of the rear of my car, and a wonderful roar coming from my rear driverside wheel. Friggin wonderful...

So, any ideas on what I'm gonna get to replace? Shocks? Struts? Control arms? The works?

Well if it gets louder as you increase your speed,...
Most likely it's the rear Hub & Bearing.

Check wheel (your wheel could get disbalanced or even bent) - both can be repaired

Then it could be read bearing.

I agree.. you killed the bearing. Hitting a pot hole should not kill it like that, I would check for a bad out of alighnment too.

you can jeck that wheel up, turn it by your hand and ilsten if there is some noise (this way you could check your bearing)

You could have killed you tire also... sometimes when internal belts on the tires brake, they begin doing some noises when driving before they develop a side strain.

Well, I checked it this morning on the way to class, and the rear driver side tire is flat. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that's all that was wrong with it.
