Whats up with Nissan making really nasty looking suv crossovers?

The Nissan Cube and Nissan Juke have got to be the most hideous looking crossover SUV's on the market

I don't mind the cube as much... the xB is better IMO.
I saw this last week, supposedly being released at the LA auto show. I love my Murano, but this thing looks too much like a PT Cruiser vert.
