To start, this year I had 3 Ponys, I sold the red one for $1000, and scrapped the black one, painfully, as the last time I drove it the only good thing on it was the brakes/suspension and some body bits. Floors were going, electrical was unfinished (power everything swap that never materialized) , the 2.0 needed some tweaking, it was just time for it I suppose. I stripped the SHIT out of it first though...

A sad sight.... EVERYTHING was pillaged and sold/traded/stored

BRAND new parts with like, maybe 100 miles on them:

The front and side skirts

Finally, after picking the very best panels and doors, and liberal application of self expanding foam for sculpting purposes, I was left with this:

It gets a lot worse before it gets better. The "bodykit" consists of:

-1987 Ford Escort GT front bumper
-1994-1998 Daewoo-FSO Polonez Caro headlamps and clear-converted t-signals mounted on a 1.5 inch extended light brace that is epoxy moulded into the GT bumper, and fibreglass moulded into the stock (modified to fit tsignals) fenders (6000k HID)
-1993 Caro Plus Polonez grille
-1993 Z24 Cavalier side skirts, shortened and flipped (left side on right side and vice versa) and moulded
-1981 VW Rabbit GTi fender flares
-1986 Ford Escort EXP rear bumper (SUPER rare!)
-1979 Z28 side fender vents (not shown - will be mounted in hood to vent air)
-1989 Spirit Power heated mirrors (currently the switch is blown, may convert to manual if I can't find the switch anywhere)
-1990 Peugeot 405 GLD taillamps
-Dealer-fit rear spoiler

I then hosted a Pony party (Yoon was not present 02.gif ) to sell off / trade parts (the first pony was converted to a 5spd manual from a 3 spd auto)

Then the bodywork began!

This is the hood I settled on, as it was dented in the front and I have to modify the lip to fit the grille by extending it down (either welding or fibre work, I haven't decided yet)

now keep in mind this is NOT the final paint job, this is rust painted over all my work to a) seal all the zinc chromate primer and b) to detect any bodywork imperfections and c) to make the car look half decent for the drive up to storage. Within 36 hours of painting it, I had people pull over on the road and admire the car (no lie!) I did paint the rear bumper before i left, but the hatch stayed that color as it has the rear window gasket taped on (for now)

So yeah, that's how it is now under a blanket in Ethel... This winter im finishing the supercharger setup, and hopefully by mid summer I will have that Stellar 2.0 5 point multilink axle w/disc brakes in place! It will bring the rear wheels out about an inch, and do wonders for the stance/stability (Leaf springs FTW)

Technical aspects upgraded this year:

-rebuilt 5spd manual swap (it has about 100 miles on it now)
-Prelude seats w/5point harness
-Power windows from stellar (rear windows only)
-Power locks from Stellar/Nissan Axxess (all doors)
-GT steering wheel
-ALL new balljoints, lower control arms, inner tie rods, outer tie rods, idler arm, stabilizer links and their bushings
-WORKING (but still leaking) sunroof
-Power mirrors
-HIDs
-Fog lamps
-Header wrap added
-Mopar external fuel PSI gauge
-SE-R Sentra rad with reversed fan

That's all I can think of.

Enjoy!

Looks pretty sick man. I've put a lot of time into my car, but I can only begin to imagine how much time you've put into yours.
