Tomorrow I will be picking up a 1997 Accent for a Beta Swap. The car was originally listed for $400, but the owner blew the transmission, so I will be picking it up for $200. Pictures to follow.

Let me know if you are interested in the ecu swap harness we have at SFR, we were working a deal with someone on our forums to test it out but he stopped replying.

Thanks, but from what Jay-M has told me, the ECU should be a direct swap. I'm going to try like hell to get this car running for under $1,000.

Really?
Hmm, WTF is that swap kit for then? The accent guys from HP were all over us for them, we got them, just need a tester.
Let me know man.

Oh, I don't doubt his word either, Jay is a great guy. This swap kit may be for teh 1.6, I'm not sure.

Lol... the X3 (1.5) Alpha Harness is a direct swap to the Beta 1 ECU. The ECU Connector is the same and has the same number of pins at the same exact positions/location
Red Z, I think that SFR swap kit is maybe for the 1.6 to Beta 2 deal

99 and earlier (x3) needs no swap harness) same ecu plug is used for the alpha and beta ECU's
the swap harness should be for the 1.5 and 1.6 2000 and up accent (lc lc2)
if you need help testing it or working out bugs gimme a buz, we did plenty of those and i could get a friend for some testing without too much problems
