Just as soon we'd forgotten about its 2008 Geneva Auto Show HED-5 Concept, it's back. But this time, the 6-passenger MPV isn't strutting about on a twirling pedestal, but rather covered in form-fitting camouflage-- see any 2010 Sonata in those side strakes? The HED-5 will offer Hyundai's new 2.0-liter turbocharged, direct-injection GDI inline-four which makes 268-horsepower while returning 15-20 percent better fuel economy.

The Hyundai HED-5 was spotted testing alongside a Scion xB as well as various Hyundai / Kia products.

Although they're testing this new Hyundai against a Scion, and it's surely a step-up from the Kia Rondo, when it comes to the US will surely be cross-shopped with the upcoming 2011 Mazda-5 MPV which seats 7, has dual sliding doors, and a 2.0-liter inline-4 with either a six-speed manual, or six-speed automatic transmission.
