My GF has a 2002 Sunfire and wants a new H/U. i am planning on putting it in for her and i was wondering if i deff. need the door chime box thing. circuit city told her it was 150 when she asked and i am wondering if anyone knows the exact name of this and if i positvely need it to install the radio. i understand she will lose door chimes and whatnot if i dont use on at all, but i was wondering if the radio will actually work without it. i know how to do everything, just wondering if i can bypass this somehow. i just need to know if this "150 dollar" box is a neccesity. thanks in advance.

That may just be because the door chime is heard through the door speakers. If you don't care about your door chime, you don't need it.
