Default Pontiac announced production Bonneville GXP

Pontiac announced that it will produce the performance-enhanced Bonneville GXP in early 2004. Pontiac debuted the concept at the Chicago Auto Show and again at the Specialty Equipment Marketer Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas where the announcement was made. The Bonneville GXP is one of several GXP versions that Pontiac showcased at SEMA (see related JATO News article dated November 4, 2002).
The showcar conforms closely to the final production car and features the following:

-4.4 liter Quad Cam 32-valve V8 engine producing 285hp
-Hydra-Matic 4T80-E automatic transmission
-high-performance suspension
-front/rear dampers and stabilizer bars
-large diameter disc brakes with heat-resistant ceramic coated calipers
-five-spoke 18" alloy wheels with P235/50R18 W-rated tires
-unique front and rear fascia
-exhaust tips
-smoke-appearance headlights
-redesigned taillamps
-new rear applique
-new fog lamps
-carbon fiber-look interior trim
-10 colors and two premium tri-coat colors
