ok its oviously pointed at me but i wouldnt say the civ is badass maybe if it wasnt so heavy, I have some stats on it from scc and the other stats r from car and driver bad: curb weight 2877, way to heavy, tq is 139 @6200 seems like it should seem higher because of the 11 to 1 comp ratio .9 to 1 higher than the tibs, height 53.5 in old civ 55.1 so its better than the older civs but the new tib are 52.3 in so its a little higher than the tib also the width is up 2.2 inches whichis good but still a little thinner than the tib front rotors are 11.4 inches not sure about the tib but they sound big 10.2 in the rear so the brakes wont fade so soon so it is much heavier than previous civicstheir heaviest curb being 2650 for the coupe so its alot heavier basically its getting fatter not good

well....nitpicky doesnt make much sense when you drive a hyundai tiburon..... you drive and love a car that sits close to the bottom of the sport car food chain and then make fun of a car that is a tried and true tuneable high selling aftermarket giant

civics are the shit!!! so damn tyte!!! fing02.gif

the k20 is not made for turbo, it's made for n/a, so why would honda say "hmm maybe we should put in low compression pistons so people could turbo these when they buy it?" if honda wanted people to have a turbo civic they would just turbo that thing from the factory and slap an even higher price tag on it. they're easy to turbo too. stock internals on a k20 will take as much boost as a beta. the high compression with boost is not a bad thing either. it just gives you less room for error and if you're building a race car why would you want any error. that just means you have to do it right the first time so you won't have to do it over again. who would want to run a turbo on stock internals anyway? if you're a really serious person about boosting a motor you'd get forged internals before even buying a turbo. the aftermarket for this car is already big before this car even comes out. it has the same engine as the previous civic and the rsx. it just has improvements like the throttle-by-wire and the lsd. also the intake manifold is better in the front. why do you think so many companies are switching to it?

and they're not ugly. tongue.gif
