So I dont know if I posted it or not but I sold my Jaguar.
I got the jag when I wrecked my neon, and they said it was totalled, they called us after I had bought the jag and said it wasn't totalled, we got the car back, my dad said we'll I'll just take it and payed it off.
Okay so gas prices go up, I was averaging 20mpg in the jag, my dad says hey, sell the jag and I'll give you back your neon (which was a rare occasian, it was kind of my portion of an inheritance that my dad got which was the only reason why he decided to pay off the neon) So I sell the jag and drive the neon.
Now I'm sick of it, no leather seats, manual seats, daily/traffic driving a standard, shitty sound, shitty power, at least it has power windows (in the front)
Currently I'm paying ~$120/mo for insurance on the tib. and $75 insurance on the neon.
The car I was mainly interested in was a 2008 Sonata Limited with the v6 (rated at 29mpg on highway) it has the same luxurios feel as the Jag on the interior with the same nice features.
Payments would be approx. $280 (approx $30 more then the jag) and insurance would increase by $1.75 a month, so it would be $77 instead of $75

I know I probably sound like an advocate for Dodge, but you can get a loaded 2007 Charger with low mileage fairly cheap. 3.5L V6, RWD and you can actually get decent mileage out of it if you watch your driving habits carefully. The factory stereo on the SXT is decent enough, heated leather seats. The only thing mine doesn't have is a sunroof, but thats what I have the Tiburon for.

Sounds like a no brainer there. Depending on how much you drive, getting 29 MPG may actually make up the difference of the car payment. plus, a hyundai's gotta be cheaper to work on than a jag I would think. PLUS, the new Sonatas are TITS!!! So SO nice!!
I say go for it man. Sounds like a win win in my book
the only other cars I would consider are:
08 Toyota Camry
08 Nissan Altima
Remember, Camry was ranked number one most reliable car on the road for YEARS! They are great cars as well.

Buddy of mine just picked up a brand new Mazda 6, and I have to say it's pretty darn nice. It's not as quick as the tib (via butt feel when I took it for a spin vs the feel in my N/A Modded tib), but it's definitely quality inside and out, good looking, and should net you pretty decent gas mileage.

I agree with tibbytib on that Altima. I sell Nissan and Subaru. Altima is a badass car! 31 hwy mpg with a 2.5. Brand new they start at bout $23,000. The 3.5 gets 26mpg and has 270 hp! Altima Coupe is pretty sick too....

brand new 08? just for shits and giggles, go there searching for a lonely 07 thats brand new. they'd probably practically give the thing away. if not, wait til the 2009's hit the lot. (unless they have already started rolling them out). dealerships will do anything to get the previous model year out of their inventory

I looked at the 09 and the interior is alot nicer, I found some used 07's but none with leather seats.
They have 09's with the v6 for 24 - a 1500 rebate, theyre only giving me 1500 on my trade in and my dad gets a 1325 discount.
NOW I almost got an 08 limited v6 every option minus navigation which I'm not sure is even available, they wanted 26030, they'd give a 3000 discount instead of 1500 on the new ones, so the ultimate cost of the car would be ~285/mo 72mo. NOW the payment that they gave me, was $355-$375... if I do my math correct that places the interest rate at over 20% . WTF this was under my dads name, who has almost perfect credit with me as a cosigner.
