What happened to the V8? The Genesis reminds me of the tib..I thought it'd look way different. I liked how it looked but it didn't give me that "omg!!!" when I saw it.

It looks.... BIG
Although it's the same thing we have been looking in the other thread, so it shouldn't seem different than it has in this past weeks... I see it kind of too big; in fact Mustang like kind of car.
I am not sure what kind of feelings I have, the possitive factors are much more powerful engines, RWD which is really desireable in a sporty car, it should be very well sinished on the interior and probably will rattle 10x less than our RDs, BUT it's too BIG.
I don't know... cars have grown in sizes again in this decade, but my dream would have been something the size of the RD with RWD and like a 2.4 with some anger in the top rpms...

the lotus is too small. exige is about the size of an Mr2 or S2000.
zman, that's what i've been trying to say the whole time. its size and looks are the opposite of an exotic sports car.

It looks more like a luxury European car with sporting intentions & I think that's probably how they are going to market it. I don't think it was ever meant to be an exotic sports car.
At least it doesn't look like this...
Most beautiful car in the world!

^haha!! notice the back of everyone's head in those photos.
Oz, only reason i'm not that page is because they were solely going to sports events and AutoX's. focus groups. a member i know from the car design school in UK says focus groups have grown to be the significant role of a concept car and completely destroy the artists rendering. they target "average consumers" by attending events and doing polls. i read some of the consumer experiences for the BK lingering online somewhere.
to sum it up, the cars that are coming out today are based on surveys and not the designers creativity. it's all market, it's all sale. and that is why i've been emphasizing that people these days will buy anything. it's not that i think that, it's i know what goes on behind the scenes. people think "oh a new car is out, it looks nice i'll get it" but they are sooo blind to the truth. then they tell me to adapt to the era. i wouldn't consider focus groups an era. take for example the original viper:
clearly the final product was remarkably similar to the concept. there were no focus groups for that, and the car made history.
what would be so wrong for them to make it look exotic and keep the same proportion? i don't see how that would do anything other than help them. why? because they're clearly targeting America and America loves 1. gas 2. ugly cars.
