well as some of you know my sister in law lives with me now and in order for her to get a job she needs a car
well i might have found her one but i need some opinions if you think this would be a good car for a 17 year old

its a 1991 240sx automatic fastback

yes we all know that RWD 0WN3Z JO but would it be a little to much for her? its got the KA24DE which is the dual overhead cam motor it needs a little work to it (mainly looks) but since i work for nissan i get parts and labor for uber cheap

problem is insuring it for her...it might be a bit much as its concidered a "sports car" even though its a auto

yeea i dunno about that car for her.. in wet conditions she may have trouble..
and i'm sure it will be heavy on insurance.. at least down by my area it is cause most people who buy 240s are young guys who race them..
why not just look for a simple 4 door for her..?

I agree with NightShark.

In winter and even in wet condition it may give you lot's of troubles. If you have there snow in NM - 240 Nissan is not the best allseason car.

I'm biased, but I'm also a 17 year old chick. And you're gonna laugh cry, or ban me...but...3rd gen Z24 cavalier. 160hp Yeah not much I know. But they're cheap, and everywhere, buy one wrecked and get all the replacement parts from the same yard. They're good on gas, cheap, and decent looking with some potential. It's always an idea smile.gif

yeah, good old cavaliers, my wife has a 99 z24 and it does have a good bit of power, nice back seat. Definently not as sporty as the tib (I think it drives like a car 2x it's size). The best part is they are cheap.

anyways I would just get something cheap and good on gas. when she starts making some money she can pick out something she likes.
