Since the tib died I've been rolling around in this thing:
It's a 98 crown vic p71, 180k miles, running a 4.6 engine and a trac-lok rear end with 3.27 gears. Needless to say it's a fun ride. I actually get places faster for the most part now since nobody wants to be behind me (especially on the highway!).
Thoughts, opinions?

Yeah, my sister had one of those, local police station was auctioning off because they got new cruisers. She put in a closed bid, and won hers for $700 I think. Those things are BADASS as far as power goes.

Same here! I was so hyped to finally get one, and it's amazing. Really, the handling is comparable to a stock tib, and it's got lots of nice goodies like upper control arms from the factory.
I've always had "the list", which contained every car I want to own at one point in my life. I can finally scratch the interceptor off the list.

The new antennae are smaller pokey.gif
I make it a general habit to yield to police-lookin cars. Be sure to wave as you pass, won't you? If you wanted to rub it in, you could put a bumper sticker on the right/rear quarter "Not a COP but thanks for movin' over!" laugh.gif
I always wanted a P.I. too. We came -->.<-- this close to buying one for a family car. One of the local auction places is literally down the street from our house, we see them sometimes when we drive by (along with all the confiscated pimp-mobiles). Good thing we didn't . . . #4 is on the way!
