Here is my other beauty that I took some pictures of. She's a Garage Queen. Enjoy.

And that's it. The Supercharged '03 Monte Carlo SS in the background of Pic #2 is driven sometimes. Haha.

A stock 85 Vette should be around 230hp. They didnt' make alot of horsepower due to the TPI intake but they made a butt load of torque. This model should be at 330ft. lbs of torque.

I'd like to see a list of mods on that car myself..a TPI unit is desighned to make torque not horsepower due to the large runners that it has. The Plenium will become saturated with air after 4600 rpms (this is where you're supposed to shift the car) and is usless for high rpm power. That's one of the reason GM went with the LT1 in the early 90's. It would take a lot of work to get it to do 400horses, unless he got a Ram Air manifold. Also, the stock tranny on that year (the 4+3 was a horrible transmission) wouldn't be able to hold up to 400hp either.

lol..My uncle had a 1984 and 1990 Vette which I used to drive around regularly and mess with, in addition to the 25th anniversary 1992 Z28 B4C interceptor (which had parts in it left over from 91' Vette in addition to the 1LE package that it had, a very rare car as the interceptors were supposed to have the RS badge at that time and I was very very fortunately to have A 25annviersary Z28 interceptor that had made it to the public, probably less then 500 in exisitance) I owned so I know what I'm talking about. I did a lot of extensive work to my Camero and I'm telling you from experince that these cars make way more torque then horsepower. You can only do so much to the car with the TPI intake. If your dad's L98 made 340 to 390 horses, I would like to see a dyno on that as it's very unlikely the car made this much horsepower unless there was extensive modifications. I know this cause I put a crate motor in my Camero and did a dump load of mods with the TPI intake and it didn't make 390 horses (that's because I had mated a 5speed transmission with the 350 crate motor that I had), it did make a crap load of torpue. These cars were fast, don't get me wrong, but there was a reason why GM went with the LT1 as it had short runners and was much better at making hosepower. Also, the transmission in your dad's car is different from the one Redshark has..
