I picked up this 2002 Accent L for 1900.00! Got it for about 500 bucks under Kelley's blue book. Pretty much the only thing wrong with it is the front bumper and 120k maintenance that needed to be done. Clear title, and gets AWESOME gas mileage! So far I've gone 180 miles and am still above half a tank! With gas prices climbing and my Tib now turboed and chugging fuel, I thought this would be a great way to save miles on my tib and save money at the pumps.
For a little over a 100 bucks, I tossed in a new air cleaner, new oil and filter, new timing belt, new power steering and alt belts, new water pump, new valve cover gasket, PCV, rad flush, and some rubber floor mats! I'm shooting for 40+ MPG. I think I'll get close with the 1.5L 5 speed she's got.

Thanks for the comments ya'll! No swap for this one, just gonna keep her running well. Smaller the engine the better. I am looking for a MPG monster out of this one.. Most of my paychecks go to the Tib anyways. fing02.gif

Haha. I think a lot of us have accents now. I got one for my dd as well right now since the Tibs down still. Mines an X3 but I like it. Wish it was a 5-speed. Nice car.

UPDATE: just went through my first tank of gas, and............................37.6 MPG!!! That includes City, highway, and mountain driving above 7,000 feet!! I am either going to get me a K&N or a cheap ebay CAI and use mid grade fuel and/or some Octane booster next time to see if I can get her above 38 and closer to 40.
