My Friend Just Got An Srt-4!

Omg, it has amazing power! Even in 3rd gear that thing pulls like no other! Interior is kinda bleh. I was even surprised with the handling as well.smile.gif Comes with nice ass wheels, painted brake calipers, nice vented hood, sweet wing, and like 230whp to play around with STOCK! Ahhh.
He's getting SRI this Friday, a BOV and exhaust eventually. My friend can't really drive stick that well (he missed quite a few gears and can't launch.. at ALL) but we've raced quite a few times on closed courses back in the days of his old automatic Accord V6 VTEC. 200 hp and I'd still be dead even with him.
Now he's got an SRT and obviously I don't have a chance against him in my n/a auto Tib with i/h/e.=/ This makes me want to go with nitrous. I really want my car to go fast when it wants to, and not just all the time.
Even with a 50 shot of nitrous I'd probably run low 15's, but the kid still can't drive so he's probably around there too. You think I have a chance against him? Maybe I should pull a SuPaDuPa and go 75hp wet shot LoL. tongue.gif
But I'm thinking this summer I'll take a run against him at a track. With the manual swap, the I/H/E letting it breathe, new plugs/wires, new fuel pump, let's just say 60hp wet shot of nitrous, and MAYBE an LSD, I think I could have one hell of a Tib!

As I said earlier, SRT4's are really nice cars. FWD and interior suck, but other than that, they handle well and have lots of potential.
It would take some work for a tib to keep up with a stock one, but once you start modifying them...

Orrrr, 12psi = stage 2+ Neon. I raced one already so I know.
And hardly any of them (kids) can afford a stage 3, so don't worry about meeting one of those.

60 shot of nitrous will not get a tib into low 14s- high 13s without full exhaust, full intake, tires, and a good driver.
Plenty of people with stage 2 run 12s. For a tib to run 12s you need a turbo kit and do some work to the engine along with a new ECU and so on.

Don't reread specs... go read stock dynos. They are underrated from the factory. 220-235whp stock, 230-235 lb ft of torque on 80% of dynos.

I said I've proved my statements first hand, so are you calling me a liar? Cause I have the timeslip to prove the nitrous = 14.1@99.5
And a lot of Tib friends to back up the 12psi = stage 2 race. I trapped 102mph, which is right there with a stage 2 Peon.

Not calling anyone a liar, but you never showed anyone any prove of your 60 shot only run. I remember you talking about it a long time ago.
Are you saying you had a bone stock tib with 60 shot of nitrous and run 14.1? No I/H/E and supporting mods?
No doubt you could beat a S2 because just like there are plently who run 12's, there are also a lot who can't drive their cars and run high 13s with S2.
