Mustang Vs Camaro

GM and ford were always competing against each other and camaro/TA were always superior in everything over their mustang!!!
Finally ford released the mustang with 300hp... It took ford 8 years to match the performance of GM's LS1! Even then we all have to remember that LS1 were underrated on Camaros and T/A's, those engines produce around 330-345hp at the flywheel and still spank mustangs' asses!
This thread is not to start a flame, but just to inform the person who changed my title that I do not wish to have a mustang and will always be a GM fan for building such wonderful cars!
Anyone is welcome to dicuss or share their opinion here just keep it civil guys smile.gif

I <3 the LS1, but im also the owner of a 5.0 mustang that is quite a fun car to race and with some free flowing heads and exhaust they really perk up to what ford should have made them to match the LS1. The newer 4.6 ford came out with was quite pathetic too...

mustang = tampon IMHO you can count like 15 just walking down the street don't get me wrong I've got a whole group of friends that owns mustangs and swears by them but I would never be caught dead owning one (yes when I was 16 I wanted a mustang and was actually supposed to get one but then I saw the tiburon and fell in love.... I'm not dissappointed with my decision)

I owned a 91 5.0LX and a 1992 25th Annviersary Z28 w/ B4C package. Both were great cars with an abundance of torque back in their day. I was a Ford guy in the early 90's and then became a Chevy guy in the later half of the decade. I'm neither Ford or Chevy now, but I was always amazed how the Mustang outsold the Camero and Firebird (whatever you call it, burning chicken?) combined. Even though the Z28 was a superior car, the Stang destroyed it when it came to sales. I guess the Stang is more charismatic or benifits from better marketing, whatever the case, it's the last of the original muscle cars.

True. There is so many mustangs! Everyone and their mom has it! Just like civics!
Every time I'm at the track, all I see is civics and mustangs, so I'm somewhat original with my car smile.gif

well, you were right, your camaro is about a full second faster on the 1/4 than a 350Z...but i'll take a Z car over a 'Stang or a Camaro anyday, cuz a pimps gotta have a car that looks good like that. >_>

Well, would you consider a vette pimp's car? Vette is what I really want, but they say Camaro is poor man's corvette (my car does have the same engine as vette) smile.gif All I can afford right now is my Z, but hopefully in a few years I'll be able to get what I've always wanted smile.gif
Also about the pimpness... I just came back from the movies, and on the way back with this girl we cought every single green light and she kept on telling me to drive faster, but I didn't want to go 10 over the limit. And the last light before the turn we see that it's turning yellow and she's like you better not stop! I drop it to second and get on it like it was my job! After we passed the light she screamed so happilly and loudly that I thought I gave her an orgazm tongue.gif
