I guess it's not bad. Has some mods and supposobly the engine was repalced, but I would never buy a car like that, especially with so many miles.
What's your budget? Did you look at my car that I have FS? Check out my thread man, maybe we'll work on something.

Yea thats pretty high milage, but the price is good if hes already gone through 1 motor then he prolly drives it pretty hard and you dont know whats gonna brake next, but its possible he kept it in good shape, I would perfer to buy a stock car and do the mods on it not an allready modded car

In my experience with Eclipses, a 60k engine behaves like a 200k engine because most of the owners of the first/second gen Eclipse were 18-25 year olds who like to "cowboy" around in it because it is decently fast and has a turbo. I bought a first gen with 90k on it, put a new tranny, rear diff, and turbo in it before I hit 120k. It is NOT worth owning.
in reading over what I have said, I am sorry to be "pooping on your parade", but I wouldn't want you to go through the same sh*t I did.

no man your not, thats something i didn't really think about. i just trying to make the best decision i can.
yeah, but its lowered and thats all i really want in a car, and my mom is taking all my paychecks right now. plus she likes it. im gunna test drive it before i buy because its like 10 miles from my house. does anyone know what the 420a engine is?
OP my budgets only like 3000, id feel bad only giving you that for your car.

don't get eclipses! good things come when you wait. i was about to buy an eclipse 50 50 chance vs the tiburon.
sooooooo glad i got the tiburon. i wouldn't be here if i had got the eclipse. eclipses break a LOT. considerably is a worse car than a tiburon. probably why the owner is selling it.
look in the newspaper man, washington post, anything. just have a good eye out. they have some tiburons for sale some weeks. not right now las i checked, but they will. you don't have to drive all the way to PA to get one.
also... think of the elantra, all the parts would be transferrable. i bought my tiburon from the newspaper and got a personal pro mechanic to go with it and hook me up with some incredible prices for any work i need done. lmao.gif

Hmm... I know what you're going through. Ok... I will try to help you find something for like $1200-$2000. That is the price 1997's are worth these days and turn out to be in very good shape. I'll also check the papers. There has to be a way out of this one. There will be a way out and you can transfer your parts over and it'll be easier for ya.
