Muscle car performance for the re-introduced GTO
Pontiac re-introduced the GTO into the US market at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The GTO is based on the Australian Holden Monaro but has been significantly modified for the US market and re-engineered as a "muscle car." The GTO is fitted with a 5.7 V8 engine with high-lift camshafts that delivers 342 bhp at 5200 rpm and 360 lbs-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. The GTO is available with either a four-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission. Top speed is estimated at 160 mph.
The rear-wheel drive GTO also is equipped with the following:
-limited-slip differential
-four-wheel disc brakes
-2+2 seating
-cruise control
-electronic information center
-six-disc CD changer with 10 premium speakers
-keyless entry system
-standard leather seating
Production begins in September, 2003, and Pontiac plans to build 18,000 units. Pricing is not available.

Not feeling the look.
The GTO should be a little more agressive looking than that. It looks like a Grand AM
I remember seeing a concept of it a couple of months back....and it looked promising but it's refinement now isn't that impressive.
my two cent
