I found a 1994 Honda Passport for sale for $650 locally. It has 140,000 miles on it, hasn't been on the road due to a misfire from what the guy told me. Anything to specifically look for on these for problems? I'm going to go look at it tomorrow and see if there are any other problems. Suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Sean

Here's some reliability issues it had:
Engine:
An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the Idle Control Thermo Valve on 4ZE1 2.6L engines only. The cost to repair the Idle Control Thermo Valve is estimated at $44.51 for parts and $32.50 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.
Transmission & Driveline: An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the Force Motor on the 4L30-E transmission only. The cost to repair the Force Motor is estimated at $189.22 for parts and $208.00 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.
Brakes Significant Problems-Common problems on this vehicle are failures of the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor and the Antilock Brake (ABS) Isolation/Dump Valve Assembly. The cost to repair the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor is estimated at $69.12 for parts and $45.50 for labor. The cost to repair the ABS Isolation/Dump Valve Assembly is estimated at $169.95 for parts and $45.50 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.
Read some reviews as well and people say that when it rains the windows don't work. Not great gas mileage either, no cup holders except one in the back, and not very powerful. Made by Isuzu so not really a Honda..
Didn't read many good ones.

I own a 96 model, only had one small boilover with the radiator, but that was it, never happened again. great vehicle but even with the 3.2l v-6 and it weighing 4600 lbs, never had enough get up and go for me.
I never got it stuck though, and trust me i tried on a few occasions, lol.

Hello,
I've been eyeing up a new winter SUV to get around in and found this for sale locally. It is a 1984 Cherokee with 103,000 miles on it. It is extremely clean, no real rust on any of the doors, door jams, and frame. It has a 2.5l in is. The car lot is asking 1,495 for the Cherokee. I found a few small problems with it. It will need a new windshield, new headlights, and some other small items. How stout are the older Jeep's and the 2.5l in general. I've had some trouble finding any information on them.
Thanks,
Sean
