I can't say anything for the new ones... Compared to the older GTO's they lost a bit of HP but i'm sure the ride is better and the cars more advanced. When I first started learning stick it was in a 68' GTO with a 400 dropped in it, and yeah like you said GTO's can really go. Sometimes it felt like we were going to just launch sometimes haha. Def nice choice, im glad their remaking some of the classic muscle cars now.

First thing..why does everyone want to get rid of their tibs all of a sudden??

Yea, the GTO is pretty fast..havent been in one (lol) but drove it on a game in ps2 and it wasnt bad. Wasnt a fan of the rwd though..made it slide around too much. The Gto doesnt look like the old version though, its nice but still reminds me of the grand am. Hope your brother enjoys his car!! =)

Ya, I can't get past the similarity to the Grand Ams looks. Kinda like the SRT4. As much power as it may have, it still looks like a friggin neon to me.

I've been in a few Holden Monaros (Aussie version of your Pontiac GTO), the quickest being a 500bhp+ n/a daily driven beast that does 0-100km/h in a verified 3.6sec & the 1/4 mile in 11.6 sec. Never got to drive it though sad.gif

Last I heard, something went "BANG" in the engine so the car is temporarily out of comission lmao.gif

^^^^^ spoken well MK3

i drove one awhile back... 6.0... u wanna talk about haulin ballz. the only thing that wasnt so great was it was an automatic and supposedly from what the guy said, its hard to get em in a manual. it was a real nice car and handled awesome... but as with everything new these days... the looks arent what they could be.

i've seen the holden monaro... those things are sweet... too bad u cant get em here in the states.

They're basically the same mate. Ours just has a different nose/front bumper. The one I was talking about was also an auto & it lost quite a bit of power to the torque convertor but it was still very quick.
