I bet a new El Camino concept would look a little like the El Camaro concept...

This would be relatively little effort. Holden Ute, plus smog equipment and crash tested, done!

The idea to bring this car back has been around awhile. In 2008 GM had a Pontiac G8 concept El Camino. Then Pontiac was cancelled?? I can't see this car coming back, GM has a bad track record for things like this........ SSR anyone?

Personally, I want to see this happen IF AND IF they bring the Bathurst or an LS9 powered model.
And really, since it's a Zeta platform I doubt much if any testing is needed, it's pretty much a G8 coupe with a bed. Plus if they slap the old G8 front on it I bet it'll sell twice as well than just giving the old El Camino nomenclature. Though I'd like to see the Vauhall VXR8 front, introducing a new fascia wouldn't be a smart business move. Now introducing a limited edition Camaro would be kinda cool, but kind of debatable whether that would sell worth a damn.
I say go for it GM!
