FXXK.... the name says it all
http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/l...led-2014-12-03
NSFW, much car porn inside!
Not "road legal" (which if you have that kind of scrap means nothing in the US.)
The new track-only LaFerrari is something that words cannot express. Grant Ferrari will want you to keep it in their garage and it must be maintained by them, but if you have the money (and are close personal friends with Alonso, Raikkonen or Vettel) there is NO excuse to buy anything else... EVER! Also, if you do have the cash and US citizenship, just register it for "Show & Display" then keep the odo under 5k/year. Then enjoy a "track only" weekend kinetic coffin.
The only facts that matter:
Naturally aspirated 6.3 liter V12 (F140 engine)
848bhp
+187bhp (Electric motor assist)
664 ft/lb Torque total
50% increase in down force!! 540kg (340 lbs) at 133MPH, that more than the average American weighs!
HY-KERS electrics
No word of performance figures, but calculating it gives the following:
1/4 time = 8.1
1/4 speed = 186
0-60 = 1.76
0-100 = 3.42
Of course all of those numbers are likely heavily inflated, but you can't deny that it's an impressive machine!! And at 2 million bucks the damn thing better be.
But look. No STFU, LOOK!!

The difference is with the XX program you're racing for Ferrari. It's not nearly as simple as I made it seem because you don't buy this car, you're "invited" to buy a stake in the program with the benefit of owning the car at the end. It's like an advanced lease with some of the worst, and yet most amazing terms ever. First the list price includes the car, a tank of race gas, a race suit with Scuderia written (literally) all over it, a fitting, I'm sure a good wine/dine and complimentary opportunity to rub elbows with some of the most well payed people this planet has yet to see. Then they set you on a track, tell you where and when to drive it. Give you dates on which you can visit your ride in Italy. And pamper it for you in their red and black hangar. Some lucky customers could tale it home, but they are responsible for travel cost nor just for them selves (that's not included in the price, but if you can afford this toy, lets face it you're going to paint at least one of your jets to match.) But also the cost of air transport form Ferrari's own airfield to the gold brick laden runway in front of you mansion. At that rate, why both with legalization when you can run it around your person Swiss mountain without ever hitting public asphalt.
2mil for the privilege to drive the ultimate toy. A well tuned GTR may have the numbers, but it does not have the program.
And no, I could give a sh*t less about the program either. But if I had the play money I would sure "suffer" along for the opportunity to take it home in 4-5 years.
