FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: European premiere of Subaru Impreza STi
Subaru presents the new Impreza STi 4WD at the Frankfurt Motor Show
Subaru has announced details for the new Impreza Turbo 4WD WRX STi at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This new vehicle is fitted with a four-cylinder 2.0 liter turbo engine producing 195 kW/265 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 343 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to a new
six-speed manual transmission. At the Motor Show, Subaru will also present a special version of the Impreza: WRX STi Prodrive.
Standard features include: permanent four-wheel drive, ABS with EBD, sport seats, alcantara upholstery, an alloy-trimmed gear knob and driver and passenger airbags. The Impreza will go on sale in January 2002.

Subaru and "type-R"??? Put down the krack pipe and seek a 12 step program!
There may be a 2 door version available in Europe, but the Photos are only of the 4 door.
