Ford to shut down manufacturing in Australia by 2016.

 

I'm sure Australia will still be there and survive far beyond this.

The only loss is the Barra I6. I really want one of these to play with.

 

The barra really is a sweet motor. In fact, ford australia's domestic stuff is not bad at all. The falcon, territory, and ute are all quite good at what they do, and reasonably priced to boot.







Imho, I would prefer that the government props up our local manufacturers so us aussies have something to do when the mining boom calms its tits.
