I know I don't plan to trade out of the Tib anytime soon, but I saw a bit about the new '09 Elantra Touring and I like it quite a bit!
It'll have the same engine practically, so tuning it will be pretty close to the Tiburon and looks a lot better than the normal Elantras...
Yay Hyundai for putting out another nice car!

my boss is considering trading in his wifes 07 Sonata for this. Now that he and his wife have a kid, he wants a wagon. He'll either be getting this or the Kia Rondo

The Rondo is such a pile of crap.
Seriously, it's hideous inside, outside, and driving wise.
The HD elantra is nice, and the new Touring Wagon looks good too.

i favor the old elantra wagon over this. it's basically identical. same materials, space, engine, concept...etc. what i don't quite understand is if you park the new one and old one next to each other one costs $16,000 more. except you can pick a barely used old one up for about $1000 these days. (i'm a cheap a---h---)
otherwise have a good sale!

HKC.. someone needs to start reviewing your posts before they become visible. they are such a load of crap...
barely used elantra, anywhere comparible to a new one for 1000$. give me a break.
on-topic, the elantra touring isn't my cup of tea, but looks and seems real nice for what it is.

^please, cite one of my posts that needs reviewing. and you're bringing it off topic by bringing it up.
i've been, examined, sat in and felt the i30 in Europe (it just so happens our friends at our family reunion had bought one) it's the same car with a few small electronic upgrades and a few more plastics, really.
next, we bought our 2000 elantra 4 years ago for $3000 1 owner used, like new, no accident dude. it's just a matter of looking and finding the right deal. sometimes people want to sell a car right away, like the guy who wanted to sell the Cardinal Red FX on here for $1000 in Virginia. just because you don't like that maybe people are doing different things in the D.C. Metropolitan area compared to your neighborhood, that's OT man, but not my posts.
