BMW presents the new 330i Performance Package sedan version
BMW has unveiled the new 3 Series 330i Performance Package version at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Performance Package is a high-performance sedan developed by BMW Individual, a division of BMW M GmbH exclusively for the US market.
The new version includes camshaft and Digital Motor Electronic modifications to the standard 3.0 liter in-line six cylinder engine. The modifications yield a 10 bhp increase to 235 bhp, a top speed of 155 mph and 0-60 mph in under six seconds.
Additional performance modifications include:
- short-throw shifter
- shorter final drive ratio
- re-calibrated sports suspension
- 18" wheels
- mixed-size performance tires
- body aerodynamics
- black headlight trim
- high gloss shadowline trim
- new exhaust
Interior enhancements include:
- cloth and Alcantara sport seats
- Alcantara steering wheel
- anthracite headliner
- black cube aluminum trim
The new 330i will arrive in dealer showrooms in April 2003.
