Weight reduction candidate.
Really, that's what I did to my '89 T-Racer! It just died on me this weekend at over 175kmi.
Pretty reliable cars though if you treat them right.

was that tempo with the 3.0L the yamaha engine.. if so.. could be a total NA sleeper.
No, the Yamaha engine was only in the SHO. It had the standard 3.0L, but in the lighter Tempo and with a manual tranny, it was quite the sleeper.

Well as we know the Tiburon has hit the junkers after a little oopsie on my part. So with the moneys I got back from good ol' Geico I got this piece in running order once again. Don't worry though, after about six months of sitting in a driveway all it really needed was two new tires, a resealed windshield and rear window (water creeped in whenever it condensated), blower motor, heater core, resistor plug, spark plugs, muffler, radio, speakers, rear bumper, passenger side fender, and a little bondo work on the passenger door. You know... Little stuff. This thing has to be inspected by the end of the month... HAH
