The way I see it, the V6 is $2750 more than the turbo 4. Spend that $2750 on the turbo car and it'll smoke the 6. You won't get the heated full leather seats (which I don't like anyways), auto climate control or signal mirrors... to me that stuff's just extra weight. If the R-spec came with cruise control, I'd wait for that. I NEED cruise though. I've taken the first step and have a Utah dealer looking for a 2.0T Track. The Vegas dealers don't have any and have no interest in selling me anything that's not on their lots. Since I plan on tracking the car, the 4 makes more sense for me. To make 400whp with the 6 is going to take more than basic NA bolt-ons. You're looking at spending $5-$10K on forced induction (to do it right... not to "rig up" a junkyard system) to make that kind of power. The 2.0T can probably make that with a stock bottom end and turbo and will weigh less.

i cant imagine working on a car fresh off the lot, no dirt or anything underneath, just looks like fun lol. That whole garage looks like fun, pretty much what i wish my garage looked like.

I don't need 400 WHP, and the stuff you mentioned on the 2.0T would break the warranty. I'll be happy with the 306WHP or whatever I can get with minimal adons, or wait and see what Hyundai puts out for it. It'll all come down to the test drive like I said before, but just adjusting the looks and adding some small stuff is fine for me.
Let's leave this conversation in the other Genesis threads guys, this is for the AMS one.

We should probably just close this thread then, since there's nobody here from AMS to talk to. I've been posting about the AMS car in the actual AMS threads.

No, no one said it is a thread to talk to AMS, or that AMS has any reps here. There are several general Genesis Coupe threads, this one is to talk about and keep track of the AMS Genesis for members of RDT.
is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that if it wasn't AMS doing the tuning that the evo owners wouldn't be as excited as they claim to be? I get the "leghumper" feel everytime i read what is going on in that thread in then actual AMS forum. i dunno...

Some good updates on page 13 and 14, including prototype design stuff for a new turbo manifold.
Max HP so far with the stock turbo that I saw was 236 or so.

still not enough IMO for a 3400lb. car. 300hp n/a sounds so much better for that amount of weight.
but i am impressed with the manifold that they are making, looks like some really good stuff.
