General Motors (GM, Fortune 500) brought back the Stingray name on an all-new Corvette sports car the automaker unveiled Sunday night in Detroit. The Stingray name was introduced in 1963 and last used in 1976.
"Stingray is one of the hallowed names in automotive history," Ed Welburn, vice president of global design for GM said in a statement. "We knew we couldn't use the Stingray name unless the new car truly lived up to the legacy."
The new 2014 Corvette will be the most powerful base Corvette ever with a 450 horsepower 6.2-liter V8, but GM boasts it will also be the most fuel-efficient 'Vette ever. It expects the 2014 model to exceed the 26 miles-per-gallon performance of current Vettes.

^look who showed up from the dark depths of HA.org!!
Front resembles the 2013 Viper too much. Back resembles the Camaro too much. Side sort of a GT-R. It's refreshing but I disapprove.

The last American car I believed there to be hope in.
That's it. All American cars now officially suck, minus those made in Europe and Australia, so....

The profile shot makes me thing of a 599 GTO.
I hate so many small design choices, such as the reflector running the height of the bumper. I'm sure the rear quarter panel vents are functional, as they're too damn ugly to be there merely for aesthetics. Someone mentioned a trans cooler, or maybe simply vents for air flow.
I HATE HATE HATE the tail lights!! Keep the Corvette unique, don't mimic the Camaro!
