The airbags can explode sending metal chunks into peoples faces. 4 people have died so far and 9 car makers are involved. How do car engineers miss something that bad?

 

Seriously old news. Nissan issued a recall in June. I've already replace about 6 airbag inflators.

 

They said on the news this morning that if your dealer doesnt have the parts to replace the airbag, and needs to order them from the manufacturer, they are telling consumers to just not sit in the passenger side of their cars. Like really? How is that convenient?

 

I never sit in the passenger side of my car.
