That list sucks, like most such things. For a car to use after everything goes to pot: It has to have points in the distributor and be able to run on any kind of halfass combustible. That makes it an old diesel, and mate it to a standard transmission. Put it in a truck with bigazz tires to get you to anywhere and that's it. Anything with a computer is dead after the EMP strike, and gas lasts a year, tops, properly preserved but you can brew your own diesel juice.

 

I honestly think that a survivalist wouldn't have the spare time and energy to keep a car

-running

-fueled and

-not stolen



Driving one around would just be announcing to everyone "please follow me and rob me in my sleep". I'd use a light vehicle to escape town in the early days, but that's about it unfortunately.
