08 Challenger From My Srt/c Forums
#1
this is quoted right from my other forums. this guy bought the car, tore it apart within two weeks and started getting sponsors to show it at sema. this thing is just nuts.. probably will run 10s very soon. has a great suspension setup.. the first SMS supercharger system (saleen) for a challenger or LX (magnum, 300c, charger)
ill let the post and pics explain for themselves..
hes getting some pics of the motor soon.. i know some people over here will enjoy seeing this car, so i had to post it.

^ finally i'm not alone on the retro stuff. it's some really impressive work by this guy, but typical. i saw a few guys trying to show off their new challengers at school, thinking everyone is looking at them. give me a break if it were an old viper maybe but the styling of this car is every second ratty heavy Buick.
it depends on the person though. i have friends who think the challenger is the best car in the world, plus they think they're above the world yet they drive old ass POS V6 and wonder why their gas is empty and can't afford to drive.

lots of work done, i agree but this has me puzzled a bit...
why give a car somewhat SCCA stylin (at least this what it is reminding me of) and not have a manual tranny in it?
with this being a 426 stroked and being a 2008 model i'm pretty sure some manufacturer has not made hood for it that you could implement a shaker hood, thuse the snorkel was used.
i give the guy props for what he has done, but some things should not have been done if you see what i am saying Nate, sorry.

Its only a matter of time if they haven't already. I browse the Charger Forums from time to time, and a manufacturer has already developed the Shaker hood for the R/T and SRT Chargers. I believe they're working on, or already have made a functional version for the 3.5L V6 (mine). One guy also made a hood for the Charger that looks like the stock Challenger hood.
So yeah, the Shakers will be back....lol

id rather have a tiptronic transmission that can use a paddle shifter system over a manual anyday for a road course type driving. even drag racing for that matter.. much easier to drive an auto while racing, especially on a road or autoX course.
