my buddy just picked it up on sat i didn't get to drive it yet but waiting for a good day. he picked it up in chicago for $15,500. i still think he could've got something better but guess it's what he likes. i herd it's got abad reviews though.

Meh, RX-8's look good to me, but I'd choose a 3rd gen RX-7 any day of the week.

All I ever hear about them is bad things, especially people making fun of how slow they are. but I've never ridden in / driven one so I have no clue.

The thing about rotorys is that they get faster as they age(more miles). Around 40k they will just start get as fast as the RX-7 TT were. Its kind cool how that works

And its strange that red-lining the car is actually good for it. The rotary is a very cool engine and very unique. I hate working on them though. I like the RX-8. He should have fun with it.

Looks pretty fun to drive. But I definatly prefer the rx7.

i test drove one before and they really arent as fast as they should be for the money. BUT it will throw you back in the seat and it handles like no other. the car also has a good ergonomics(sp?) and was just a plainly fun car to drive. however for the 15k i would have bought an s2k or possibly g35.

The car has a 1.3 liter, and for shit's sake it makes 238 ponies!! What more can you ask for!!!????!! The real treat is that the engine is so compact and light that the car has perfect balancing, and an extremely low center of gravity. Race a 350z against an Rx8 on anything other than a straight track and see who will win.
