What kind of music do you listen to?

Mostly rock (alternative, hard, metal, classic) but I enjoy techno/dance/pop, hip-hop, and some country music.

What would be your dream job?

I kinda sorta have my dream job but i’d rather work with a wider variety of clients rather than real estate.

What’s your dream car?

I have way too many but to name a few late 60′s muscle cars (I have a ’68 Plymouth RoadRunner), late model Supras, and I have my eye on the new Nissan GT-R as well.

What’s the dumbest thing anyone has ever asked you?

“Is that an Import or is it from Europe?” (in reference to my Tib)

Where do you see yourself in the future?

Owning a house with a large pole building and acreage for all of my “toys”, self-employed doing Graphic Design and being able to have the time and money to enjoy my car modification addiction again.

What are some of your hobbiest and interests?

Graphic Design, Photography, Travel, Car modification (of course!), Spending time with family & friends, Snowmobiling, Drag Racing and lots of other stuff as long as I’m having fun!

What are some of your turn ons?
A good sense of humor, responsibility, respectfulness, & ability to have an opinion but not push it on others and great smile to go with it all! (if we are talking people turn-ons)
What about turn offs?

Rudeness, disrespectfulness, liars, cheaters, theives and those who put down people and their things, lives, etc out of pure obnoxiousness…

How did you first get involved in the car/Hyundai scene?

It became my first brand new off the lot car in June 2003. In early 2004 I had done a search online to see about some small interior modifications after thinking about pictures my Hyundai dealer had shown me of a local Tiburon. I found the website www.newtiburon.com, was approached by another female Tib tuner to join her at a local show even though I was unmodded at the time. Through her and the website I met a great many other Tib/Import tuners in the area and the rest from there is history. So far out of everyone locally I was involved with for tuning/showing I am the only one to still own a Tiburon.

Is it difficult and if so, how do you handle being in a male dominated sport?

I was fortunate to meet a great group of guys who were very cool about having a girl hang with them when it came to modding. As a girl I think you have to keep an open mind to learn some things, ignore the stupid people (they are most likely jealous their girlfriends don’t get into their interests!) and have fun doing what you enjoy.

What percentage of Import models do you think actually know how to tune cars?

LOL good question! I’d say about 5% actually have a clue, 10% pay someone who has a clue to build their car and 85% probably don’t even know there is a car in the picture!!

Should some of the big car shows (HIN, NOPI, etc) have a Female Tuner class?

Yeah definitely! Women bring a different vision/element to the table when it comes to car modification. Sometimes its fun to battle it out against the boys but they can’t have everything!

Any final thoughts, comments, or thanks?

Thanks to all the people in my life who started and continued my interests in cars, car modification and showing. I think when you are building up your car you’ve gotta do it for yourself or at the end of the day it doesn’t mean a damn thing. And thank you to Hyundai Aftermarket.org for this article!
