How did you first get involved in the car/Hyundai scene?
When I was looking for my first car, I discovered the 2003 Tiburon and fell in love. He was a midnight blue GT, but I was car-jacked this last February on my birthday. After a long story, I never got him back (very disappointing after all the work I put into him). He got me into the car scene, though, along with my brother, Alex. Alex tought me everything I didn’t figure out on my own.

Is it difficult and if so, how do you handle being in a male dominated sport?
It is difficult, yes. I am constantly being underestimated, but I’ve come to find it amusing. I have confidence in my abilities, and once they see me drive and actually talk to me, i don’t think there is any doubt.

What percentage of Import models do you think actually know how to tune cars?
From the experience I’ve had with them, the majority are completely ignorant when it comes to tuning. They’re mostly just into the exposure.
My dream car is a ’69 Camaro SS. I would spend my life on that car if I had one, and I have so many future plans for one.
What are some of your other hobbies and interests?
Well, my life almost revolves around the drag strip, but I love to dance, swim, and almost anything outdoors. I also love things like pool, poker, and I was on a dart team when I was 16. I love animals, and i have future plans to go to vet school and maybe be an animal cop or start my own animal rescue and shelter.

Should some of the big car shows (HIN, NOPI, etc) have a Female Tuner class?
Actually, no. I think that’s pretty much saying that women tuners and men tuners are somehow not equal. We should stay competing with the men, because putting us in a seperate class could somehow be taken as maybe a lower class, and probably wouldn’t get as much exposure.
