Hi,
I need to replace the stock brakes (rotors) with new ones.. I decided to do an upgrade and replace them with drilled/ventilated rotors. Anyone has (or knows where I can buy) good/new ventilated/drilled rotors for a RD2 tiburon? I can only find Brembo front ventilated rotors here in Holland. |
Ebay!!!!! I will see if i can find the link later.
I got drilled/slotted rotors, and ceramic breaks all around for right at $200. I thought it was a good deal, can't remember the sellers name right off hand. |
He is in Holland though so they will probably want a ton to ship to him. If you find some in the states and need help shipping, let me know.

Thanks Eric, I'll let you know.
An friend imports stuff directly from korea, he can get me these stuff but asks 125 euro for ONE disc. So that'd be atleast 125x4=500 euro excluding 19% taxes. Incl taxes that'd be: 595 Euro! 595 Euro is about $790. That's only for the brake discs, slotted/drilled, without any breakpads. Oh and his delivery time is 2-4 weeks smile.gif I have seen some on Ebay, but i'm not sure about their quality: Link 1, set of 4 Link 2 Link 3, front with pads Link 4, front & rear + pads Link 5 Link 6 Link 7 |
Cquense.net That's where I got mine. LOVE em.

... may i suggest you http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/ ?
they are fast, and EBC is a well known good brand made in UK (they are official EBC reseller of course) i did my order exactly this tuesday, with something like 420/430 Euros (371 english pound) they have shipped to me their EBC Turbo Grooved Dimpled and Slotted Rotors (FRONT and REAR) and their EBC Greenstuff Pads (always both front and rear).. including VAT/taxes, of course... ... i'm tracking the shipment and now they are arriving into italy just today, so maybe i will get them early next week.. with the weak GBP the price now is really NICE ...i refuse to risk on any anonimous ebay seller and maybe get a too cheap brake disc... never put safety under a money matter.. p.s all EBC products meet or (more easily) exceed EU/ECE R90 requirement/homologation for street use (for who is interested) wink1.gif |
Im interested in those Cquence rotors.
http://www.cquence.net/-c-108_176_179.html...h92as48hn8l3s56 Which would be the best for faster street abuse? The most expensive one costs $206 for 2 front and 2 rear rotors, that's quite cheap! I can pay that, but does most expensive one means the best quality? I don't want the discs to reforme afdter a couple of months and want a smooth/"wobble-free" ride. Which one do you recommend Redz? |
Dimpled and slotted, without a doubt. I've put some VERY heavy braking on them, no warping.
You can see how long the warranties are and go from there. EBC also makes VERY good stuff, I just couldn't get what I needed (don't forget, I did the OEM BBK conversion with mine so I needed bigger Spectra rotors.) |
Agreed, you do not want crossdrilled rotors. Drilling leads to fractures under high temperatures, and those fractures can lead to epic failure. Dimpled and slotted will do exactly what you want without the worry of fracturing the disc.
With the 5-lug swap, I picked up a set of EBC GK rotors all the way around, and some Axxis Ultimate pads. I love this setup and would recommend them to anyone. |
