Hey guys,
Im curious to know if anyone has bought the "racing headers" from kspec(the $499 ones). I dont want OBX and I dont wanna spend $700 on the GT headers.

Has anyone tried the Racing Headers? How good are they? worth the money?

If I hear good stuff I will order them asap.

I have RSide 4-2-1 that both SR and KSpec used to sell.

They were $400 new. I can tell you that while they work OK, they're not worth it over your OBX design.

Then again, I haven't reset my ECU yet. cool.gif

Honestly, don't spend $500 on a header. Buy OBX or SSA and save those $350 to invest in something elsewhere.

^ What evidence do you have to support this? Have you also tried the OBX header? Dynos?

Just curious...

Well, I have only used my Racing Headers, and I have read here many comments from many people, I wouldn't know what to beleive, but I'll tell you this:
If you are after getting a few more ponies for your car and that's it, there's probably a little benefit from any high quality header over a cheap header, however, if your aim is to get more ponies and also get your engine bay to look hotter, and also have a proven good header design and also a nice exhaust tone, then you have more variables to consider when choosing a header.

I have had my headers in my hands so many times, and I even had the oportunity to compare them to a set of tru racing headers (for another car, but header size was almost the same; they were Peugeot Sport Headers for a 306 S16) and the Maintec Headers were SO MUCH HEAVIER, evidentñy due to wall thickness, that I don't know why there are people here saying they are not thick or stronger than other headers.

As far as I know, my exhaust setup is:
Racing Headers, Down/Flex pipe, Resonator (instead of cat), pipe, 28" Glasspack, pipe, SS muffler (single chambered with packing) and my exhaust note is trully nice, low and not too loud and never buzzy. There are other folks with similar setups and they get buzzy sounds, I don't know, anything I can tell you is whith the hood open if you revv the engine, sound comes from the back of the car as it should and not from the engine bay.

If you ask me, I would 100% recomend them (but I also must say I got them a long time ago, before prices raised, and also on a group buy and I paid considerably less than their advertised price right now).
