Ok guys, I have an opportunity to open an account with a supplier to offer those off brand bodykits.

RD1 and RD2 Bomber and Vader kits, some Gk Tiburon kits, Elantra Bomber and Skyline kits, Santa Fe Platinum Kit, and a couple of Accent kits. These kits are made with some special DuraFlex material that the maker says is better than fiberglass.

I know the fitment of these kits is prolly questionable but has anyone expierenced any of these so called duraflex made kits, if so is it worth opening an account and sell them at a low price?

Your input would be appreciated.

 

you could probably make some money from them, just not on this site really. Most everyone on this site knows for the most part to stay away from those kits. Is this duraflex easy to work with? I mean if you get a bad fg bumper it can be modified, can you do that with this material. I remember a discussion not to long ago about this material and someone was going to try a kit out and see how it was...

It can't hurt to have the account set up with them. People buy these kits on ebay all the time... why not let them buy the kits from you?

If at all possible, get them to send you one or two kits for test fitting before you start selling them in significant quantities. At least that way you'll know just how good or bad these things really are.

 

Get a few for testing. I mean people still buy these. See if theyll let you get 1 or 2 at first then go from there.

 

look at it this way.... duraflex cant be any cheaper, are weaker then fiberglass kits. that alone should lure buyers your way.

 

Found this bomber kit. What type of price do you think you can get?? I'm Interested if the price is right...

 

I can prolly get away with selling the complete kit for $600.00 .... then pieces, $215 per bumper and $195.00 for the skirts.

 

I thought dura flex was actually better ( i mean more durable) than fiberglass? correct me if im wrong tho

 

I'm sure it is better, but honestly it doesn't matter what it's made out of if the wrksmnship is poor.
