I emailed you a few weeks back but have yet to hear from you. If I could I'd like to know who you have manufacturing your short shifter.

Because I couldn't find any sort of opinion on it anywhere, so I was curious to know if it was just a rebrand. smile.gif Taken care of through PM though.

NOTE: the knob has changed to a Fidanza Luminary style knob, which kinda sucks because that big ball knob was awsome ....... believe it or not it was somewhat heavy and made shifting slightly easier. I am going to add a knob upgrade soon, offering B&M, DC Sports, and Fidanza.

I agree, a nice heavy knob is essential. After trying the Sorento one out on my car, I REALLY want a nice counterweight up there.

Hey man, I got the shifter in the mail 2 or 3 weeks ago and had no problems with the install, but I think that it's missing a part. I stole this image from the ARK STS topic that was up recently, but the piece should be exactly the same since they look identical on the bottom. Basically I'm getting a ton of side to side play (ie I can move the shifter about an inch in either direction while In Gear) and I think it's because of this.

I was missing that part too when i ordered my Import Shark STS. But i found a doorstop rubber bushing that fit perfect and i have used that ever since lol. But that should be included in the kit for proper installation, i dont know why it wouldnt come with the shifter.

Could be that, but it's probably your spring in wrong.

You didn't at least use the stock one? Go by home depot or Lowes and see if you can find something thta will work.

I am using the stock one right now, but I think that's the problem. Since the stock one is designed for the U shaped stud instead of the ball shaped one, I think it gets twisted off axis. I've had the shifter on and off 3 times making sure I put it together right.

Also not a spring problem. It pushes against the spring during that inch of play, and pops back most of the way, but I definitely shouldn't have that much play. I basically have to hunt for the gears, and if I didn't know where they were at I'd have trouble with it.
