Redz is that a thread hijack attempt...LOL...dude work has been crazy, just got back from Denmark and now I'm in meetings all week...hopefully I will get some time this weekend to work on that...get those CF boots on the way and I'm certain that will get the DIY going...LOL

KDMGuy...been checking off and on, still don't see it...unfortunately, I need to call it a night. Is it possible for you to send me a picture via e-mail? Then there's no need to post it on your site...if this is the right one, which I suspect it will be, I want it and don't want to have it potentially snatched up by someone else. If you can tell me the cost, in the e-mail or even before the pic is sent, I'm more than happy to make the payment to reserve this one...been waiting a long time for this and really want to get this mod completed. Thanks.

Bad news .. I didn't bother to open up the package till today to take pictures and realized it was silver metalic stereo cover with double DIN when I opened it up!
Now we have 3 stereo covers that you didn't want in stock. It's 84771 27500VD to be exact and maybe last 2 words should have been different
Any Idea?

Dang it...silver and double din? So this one you just received has a total of 3 open slots which makes it a double din surround, not a single din surround with 4 open slots? Just want to make sure when we both say double din or single din, we are both talking about the same type of surround. "VD" doesn't match up with either of the 2 letter combo's I posted in my original message to start this thread, which I am pretty sure are the part of the item number which indicate the color...black should be "AX"
Thanks.

I am nearly 100% certain the correct part number is 84771-27500-AX, however to be 100% certain I am going to confirm this with the parts department at a dealership. Once I have this confirmed, I will let you know. I appreciate all your time and effort on this and appologize for this (and me) being such a pain...I had no idea this was going to be this big of a challenge. Thanks.

Can't you just get ahold of someone here with the OEM part in their car? have them pull it out, look at the number and post it.

I'm thinking the MOBIS guys in Korea sent jay the silver one on accident instead of the black one. Honestly if you think of it there, who would want the black one when you can get the other?

I confirmed this part number today...84771-27500-AX is the correct one.
Redz, although the silver does look nice...unless your going to replace all the other pieces with the silver ones getting this surround in silver doesn't make any sense.

KDMGuy - if this has become too big of a pain, just let me know, I can get this from a dealership here in the US...just trying to support our vendors and save some cash. I honestly didn't expect it to be this difficult or challenging.

Thanks.

84771-27500 for the 00-01 Single DIN (2" stereo with extra tray)
84771-27530 for the 00-01 Double DIN (4" inch stereo with CD/Cassette Combo)

Those are the numbers I found. Here are the color codes for miscellaneous interior pieces:

KW = Rich Black
CA = Black
AX = Metallic Paint
ZH = Rich Black (Used on Special Edition models)

FYI, when talking door trim, CA stands for Rich Black, not conventional Black. Hope this helps.
