Just wanted to comment that compression increase is one of the mods that reward you with more HP on return... I mean, "just" a 0,5 more compression gives you definitely more torque and HP.
The point is, in the US labor is very expensive, so changing the pistons could cost a lot; here I can get them changed for around $320; that's why it's going to be my next mod... tongue.gif

hell i could swap pistons without even pullin the motor...

you can do it with the oil pan removed if you have stock bore pistons

but i would rather pull it out and hone it and such

The best time to change the pistons is when doing any other mayor job to the engine. to save some money...

BTW.. My mechanic only charge me 250 including changing the Clutch and doing some soldering to my intercooler pipes... lmao.gif

in my old NA set up i ran 1.8 piston in a 2.0 block and had no problem at all. you use them in combination with the xd head gasket. as for the power i dont know this mod was very very widely used here in korea for the last 7 years hell they even use it now..

my old spec were as follows

p&p head, 272 int/ext

1.8 pistion, xd head gasket 2-ply metal. and shaved head 0.7mm the compression i got was in the upper 12.98:1 it was real close LOL

good buy do it if you can

if you use 268 cams there better for the street mid and low end while 272 is mid and high 282 is only high rpm 5500~9000
