Nailed a high curb last night turning into a gas station. It was in the dead center or the front end. I really don't know what happened, i just didn't see the curb then bam, air bags pop out. I hit the curb so hard that the faceplate of my radio flew off into my lap. And I couldn't have been going more then 10 MPH. The adjuster is coming out tomorrow to survey the damage and see if she's totalled. I may have some 1st gen clear corners and a shark spoiler for sale soon. 02.gif

 

It's a good thing you were only going 10mph and that you weren't hurt. Sorry about your car..

yea from what i've read about other peoples accidents their air bags didn't deploy .... hope mine work.

that sucks man. sure a bad time to go get gas! i hit the median head on going 35mph and didn't get that much damage. how high was your curb?

total waste of time and money... don't you agree? don't worry, you're not alone. we've all been there. if you do consider selling your tiburon, the resale values of RD tiburons are not that high. you'd save yourself some serious time and hassle just buying another one and selling your babe. the difference between a new one to fixing yours up would be like $500 tops. and you can also swap the mods you have from your old one for free. there are lots of good deals out there. tibs, no matter what condition, are always a good purchase. if something goes wrong, you fix it once, and it won't happen again. good luck!

My tib was in a very similar situation a couple of years ago....excpet the speed was MUCH higher.

If your dealership tells you they have to replace the crash pad, go to another dealership.

how is your collar bone?? (assuming you were wearing your belts)
I have a set of seat belt pads on my belts (Did then too) and I swear they saved me from a broken collar bone. Still hurt alot, but nothing broke.
