You might want to look at a different ems. My buddy does a lot of tuning. He has never been a fan of MS. Anyway, apparently he spoke with a company trying to work with MS and found that 3 identical boxes ALL performed differently! All with the exact same map, each ran completely different. One ran fine, the one that was tuned with the engine. Then a second MS was loaded with the exact same map, and the car ran terrible. The third identical spec MS was loaded with the map and it wouldn't even start the car! That is totally unacceptable and I would be quite concerned using one if I were you. If not, I'd be very weary of relying on someone else's map. If you stick with MS, just tread cautiously.
I was in a situation last year where we suspected my ems was faultering. We used 3 haltech E8's and they all ran identical.
Just my .02. You've done a lot of work and just trying to look out for folks here since our tibs and becoming more and more rare!

I've been looking to do this for a while but I never found what I was looking for(specific info on the matter) until the recent thread. I know that it takes more than just installing them to make power. I have been reading on runner length and harmonics. Also i am looking to boost my car so some might see it as a waste of time building an ITB setup just to go boosted after.
anyways this is what i have. 05 Kawasaki ZX-10R throttle bodies IIRC they are about 42mm ID and only have a single butterfly. The velocity stacks have the same id and taper to 50mm (i think).
I am looking for an oval to round transition to keep the throttles as straight as possible.

You can still use them boosted. Just enclose them in a plenum. Or, remove the velocity stacks and bolt a plenum to the runners. To deal with the round ITB to head port shape differences, get a piece of 1/2" think phenolic resin. Trace one shape on on side and the other shape on the other side. Now just use head porting tools to transition from one to the other in the resin.

I have been looking at other EMS. I like what MS offers but there is a part of me that it's not entirely convinced and wants something else. Another thing is that there are a lot of tuners that don't like them or will not even tune them and since I am not a tuner, I want someone with experience to make the most of my set up.
I am considering the Haltech Platinum Sprint 500, it's just under $900 to my door.

I'm biased, for sure, but have had great luck with haltech. My tuner doesn't like to touch them either because they are not consistent and he doesn't want to be held liable for a piece of equipment that is not consistent and reliable.
FYI, I will be selling my E8 WITH plug and play harness for any RD here in a few weeks. If you're interested, let me know. Would come with base maps that would get you off and running until you get it tuned professionally.

Installed a CAI, replaced my VERY worn foglights for new ones and applied a layer of yellow tint. Got the heated seat switches from HKC and an universal heated seats kit which I still need to install.
The front left wheel bearing is shot and needs replaced asap. since I don't have time to change it, I'm having a co-worker do it for me for a good price.
I'm most likely changing my clutch again. the engagement is too harsh and I want to do a push conversion.
